Advisory & Evaluation Committee


Our Advisory and Evaluation Committee provides advice and direction to project personnel in implementing project goals, developing policy, and completing evaluations. 

Members of the Committee:

1) President of Diné College, Ferlin Clark 

2) Navajo Nation Division of Education,  
    Tommy Lewis

3) Director of the Division of Educational 
     Leadership & Policy Studies at 
     Arizona State University, Terry Wiley

4) K-12 Administration, Ethel Manuelito



Others in Attendance: ASU Consultants, Tim Begaye, Arnie Danzig, and Nick Appleton, Project Coordinator, Gloria Emerson, and Principal Investigator, Janel Hinrichsen


Specifically, the Committee will meet with the Project Director and Coordinator to:

    • Review the goals, project objectives, and timelines;

    • Provide feedback relating to the adequacy of program content;

    • Provide feedback related to implementation plans, including course content and internship activities;

    • Review progress reports;

    • Participate in developing the project evaluation components;

    • Assist in identifying potential training issues;

    • Provide project direction in broad policy areas; and

    • Develop strategies and identify funding sources to assimilate project components beyond the project timeline and initial funding.
